ABOUT THE FARM
The Pitt Farm family has continued the tradition of providing healthy foods and economic opportunity in Elm City and surrounding areas. The family has dedicated its time and labor to upholding the legacy of a farm that has been continuously cultivated since 1934.
Today, two freshwater ponds on the farmland have allowed the family to raise and supply prawn. High tunnel greenhouses have extended the growing season for the deliciously harvested vegetables to a year-round operation.
The Pitt Farm family is continuing the family tradition by serving as a role model and creating opportunity for those to come. The family aspires to install 40 high tunnel greenhouses on five acres of land and to build an irrigation system using the 6 million gallons of water supplied by the existing ponds.
